  • About

The hazy sun lays shadows lithe and long across a midsummer meadow.

People gather to wait and watch, idly feasting on roasted hog and ale. Suddenly, the laughter and chatter is silenced by the thunder of hooves and the furious snorting of horses. The air is pierced by the screech of battle cry and the clashing of sword upon sword…

THIS, GOOD SIRS, IS THE LOXWOOD JOUST

  • Learning Zones

Got a question about medieval life? Wouldn’t it be nice to skip the textbooks and just ask someone from the 15th century? Throughout Loxwood Meadow, you’ll be able to do just that at our Learning Posts. This year, you’ll meet: The Executioner, The Mediaeval Housewife, The Mediaeval Chef, The Mediaeval Apothecary and Queen Georgiana of Loxwood

  • Dine in style with Queen Georgiana of Loxwood

You are invited to join the Queen of Loxwood for a medieval feast in the Banqueting Tent.

You’ll be shown to your seats for an authentic four-course banquet, prepared by award winning chef Garlic Wood Farm. Between courses, you’ll be entertained by court jesters, live music and riddlers – so start practising your banter!

    Menu:

Mutton Pottage, Whole-Raised Pork and Nettle Pie, Mead-Glazed Gammon, Poached Pears in Spiced Red Wine with Ginger Cream
